Shaw farms round two

My brother Michael and his family were in town this past weekend, so we went to Shaw farms again. Their kids hadn't been to a pumpkin patch this year yet, and come on...Shaw farms is F-U-N!

Stuffing her shirt already???

I could see this happening in about 10-12 years, but not already!

Poor Kaleb

The other day when the Carter boys were over, no one was playing with Kaleb, and he was very sad. He came into Makenna's room where I was and stated in a very pathetic little voice that was on the border of crying, "I have no friends, but God!" I had a hard time keeping a straight face. I told him that at least he always had God. A few minutes later he came back and said, "I have no friends but you, Klaire, and God!" Ahhhh..I was glad to make that list!

Shaw farms

We went to Shaw farms again this year with some friends. The kids had a blast, especially the boys since the Carter boys were in town to go. Man, you stick six boys together in a place like Shaw Farms...they were climbing and running everywhere. Good times! This was actually Kaleb's pose with the scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz. I think he was trying to "be cool."
Jakeb and Wilma from the Flinstones - Too bad my kids didn't even know who the Flinstones were.

The Peter Pan scene

Jakeb driving those horses with Moriah

Makenna cheesing good for me!

Makenna and Dorothy

the kids in the wagon, minus Micah and Blake, but plus Xatavio (Xatavio was a little boy that seriously wanted to be in this picture! Check out that smile!)

Carters and the Alma kids

All the Alma kids

And....proof that baby Klaire was there at the pumpkin farm

Luke's b-day

Luke turned EIGHT last week. Hard to believe, huh? I think he had a good day. He had cinnamon rolls for breakfast (cake #1) Later that day, he chose to go to Golden Corral for his birthday meal....cake #2.

And since we had tons of sweets at Golden Corral, we didn't enjoy his birthday cake until the next night (cake #3).

(Oh, and, man was that cake good!! It was a homemade ice cream cake. Simply layer crushed oreos mixed with butter for the crust, ice cream, hot fudge, whip cream and top it off with more crushed oreos!! YUM!)

Liking the boucy seat!

So, I've put her in the bouncy seat before, but today when I put her in it.....she LOVED it! She was smiling and watching the lights. It was great!
