Day 7

Day 7 was another relaxing day. Eric took me to another one of my favorite restaurants only this one isn't in Ohio....Sonny's Barbecue. Yummy!!! Afterwards we took some family pictures and did some more swimming. My kids were seriously liking the pools, and if you know my kids...that's a miracle!

Later that night the boys played for the first time ever TWISTER!

day 6

Hollywood Studios a.k.a. MGM Studios (Why they changed the name is beyond me!) Man, this was probably one of the best days of vacations. The park wasn't crowded, and it wasn't too hot outside. I think saw all the attractions that we wanted, and we rode all the rides. In fact the boys rode Tower of Terror and the Rock it Roller coaster three times each! We literally walked on the rides. It was great. Since Kaleb was too small to ride the roller coaster, he go stuck with me and the girls and had to watch Beauty and the Beast. Believe it or not, he said it wasn't too bad. Anyways, if you asked any of the children, they would all say that they liked MGM (ahem...Hollywood Studios) better than Magic Kingdom, and I can guarantee that Eric liked it better too (because there were no dizzy teacups to make him sick there at MGM).

This just in!!!!!

We're taking a break from our normal broadcasting of vacation posts to alert everyone that the Alma's now officially have a NINE year old in the house!!! Blake Alma turned nine today!!! AHHHH!!!!!! Hard to believe, huh?
Happy Birthday, Blake! He's been begging to go somewhere for his birthday to get crab legs.
We found this great little Chinese restaurant, and they even brought him a treat!

Day 5

Day five started without a relaxing morning and a trip to the pool Then it was off to Downtown Disney mainly go back to the Lego store which everyone loved. It helped that each kid had a certain amount of money to spend during the week, and Lego land fit their bill. However, Luke didn't spend all of his money there. He went to T-Rex and bought a build a dino. Afterwards Luke and Jakeb went excavating for dinosaur bones. (Blake and Kaleb didn't want to take off their shoes, so they missed out on the fun.)
There were other stores besides the lego and T-rex store that we needed to check out, and boy did we have fun in the Disney hat store!
Next it was back to the Lego store for a race. Each kid could make their own car to race down the hill. Here's proof that Klaire was there!
After spending too much time and money at Downtown Disney, my husband loved me enough to take me to my favorite restaraunt, Chilis. There was a guy making balloons formations for the kids, and each child got one. Fun!

That night before going swimming, we went to play putt-putt.

Oh, and here's a picture of Blake and Luke going down the big water slide there at the resort.

Day 4

okay, a little recap of yesterday's pictures. Since it was "wordless Wednesday" I couldn't say much. So today I'll tell you more about Magic Kingdom. It was warm, but not overly crowded there. I don't think we waited more than 20 minutes for any ride, and if you've ever been there before, you know that's good. The kids loved the Pirate ride, Splash mountain, and Thunder Mountain. Of course by the end of the day, we had 5 exhausted kids. Klaire was quite content most of the time in a sling that I wore. We stayed for the electrical parade even though we had three kids complaining about being sick. Two kids throwing up later, we realized that we should have left before the parade was over because then we got stuck in "people traffic" since everyone decided to leave at exactly the same time. AHHH!!!!
Up until the puke and exhaustion, we had a great time.
Onward to day four. Day four was basically a day that we had to recuperate from Magic Kingdom. We woke up late, and just chilled until the afternoon where we went to Titanic the Experience. Afterwards, we had lunch at Friendly's where everyone enjoyed ice cream of their choice. Swim time came next for the boys while the girls took naps in the room. This deck chair was found in the water after the Titanic went down.
